hi, every time I pass my mailbox, i have to open it. most of the time it’s empty. the second most common scenario: mail from the police. the third: a letter from the Finanzamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. and then, on rare but wonderful occasions, a beautifully written postcard from my friend antonia. antonia and her partner maéva have started a project called Literal Madness. it’s a project about the process of writing (in the broadest sense of the word) especially writing with an addressee, the relationship between the writing self and a particular addressed other, and the alienation of the self that is inherent to writing. i’m thrilled to be part of the first chapter, and i thought you might be interested in subscribing to the publication (subscription link below). it’s very affordable and honestly, what better surprise than some art arriving in the mail? xx amadeus
